Assume, I don't know, an initial investment of £1000, with no use of the SM, and trying to diversify into new offerings? Is it possible or is everything a click fest bot ridden feeding frenzy like some other platforms we could mention?

Unfortunately. With the arrival of the SM, the 'gamers' have arrived at FS. It is has become a Fastest finger site. Hopefully FS will sort it out soon so that sensible newcomers get a chance.

Actually with the bidding limits in place, you can sometimes still invest on the smaller loans so long as you don't wait too long, but yes, demand is greater than supply. If fundingsecure were to remove the premiums, it would sort the SM out (the tax issue is another issue). I'm sure it's hard to find a suitable medium to make all the customers happy. Look at MT and SS, currently zero SM loan parts available vs. FS, 30 pages of loan parts.

Yep. I forgot again and 13:02 was too late .... but it's hardly worthwhile getting annoyed when we are talking (often) £25 bids. I must concentrate on the two o'clock mêlée. £100!!!!!!!! PS ... and that is one which will end up on the SM at par after four months or so!

It's a feeding frenzy and not helped by, in my opinion, the secondary market encouraging flippers. I think it took me about 3 weeks to get £5000 invested. I'm not disrupting my day for £25 loan parts anymore though, particularly when I find I have done it for nothing!

IMHO that's optimistic. Yesterday, 30 seconds was too late for any of the three loans released -- two small ones and a large one, IIRC.

Thanks all for the feedback. I'm a relatively patient chap, but I don't want to be hovering over my keyboard all day just to chuck a £20 at the screen and have it bounce back at me. If things quieten down and / or if there's referrals, then I'd be happy to be poked back in this direction. For now I think I'll watch, wait, and learn .
