Thanks to drstarter33 for letting us know about their P2P performance. I thought I'd start a thread for my own set of P2P platforms. I've been in Zopa since 2008 (I think) but most of the others since last year. I'm now winding down my holdings to reduce risk ahead of recession and use the funds to pay off my mortgage.
Ordered by amount I have invested:
Funding Secure: Very good returns here and only one default. There hasn't been many good loans lately though. I am also wary of multiple loans being made to the same borrower - I'm no longer going in on these.
RateSetter: Nice and easy to use, and I prefer it to Zopa.
Zopa: Has got boring. I met some of their guys last month - I told them as much! And RateSetter has better rates.
Funding Circle: Very nice and the secondary market is VERY liquid. I sold a load of loans in minutes. I've had some defaults, but they're broadly in line with expectations. Most loans were bought using the automatic tool thing.
Saving Stream: A nice site, and I might put a bit more money into this one. My day job is in commercial property so I don't want too much more exposure to this industry though.
Wellesley: Never gave me my signup bonus. I'm out once my bond matures.
Bondora: Claims I'm making ~19% but we Brits are probably fools to invest in Euro assets. Well I don't have much in there so I don't worry about it. I once did some nice analysis of their loan data but it's annoying they change the site seemingly once a fortnight so it's not worth doing any more analysis.
Rebs: I worry about this one but I have done better buying old loans on the secondary market. The risk here is that they take on the poorer quality businesses that get refused by FC, and in a downturn we could get a good spanking .
Assetz: Quite a nice site but it's slow to make new investments and my sign up process was a nightmare (initially refused, then 3 months later I got an email saying my account was ready to go). I've stayed out of the green investments.
Ablrate: As drstarter33 - no new loans for months and I've sold out ahead of the next downturn in aviation.
LendInvest: A total flop. Put a grand in, realised I could only invest in one loan with that, and had a real hassle taking the money out again.
Market Invoice: Not got enough cash to invest in this one but their team did impress me when I met some of them last month. I'd be tempted if the minimum investment was reduced.
Various crowdfunding platforms: Not touching these with a bargepole.
