I have set my idle funds to go into my quick access account but this week any transactions have made no movement, I transferred In some money but it has not gone into the quick access account, I thought the idea was I didn't have to manage this as often.
Is there a timer on this? Do I have to micromanage my money?

Is there a timer on this? Do I have to micromanage my money? There is a queue to get in at the moment. When I last checked it was ~£157k With a two possible drawdowns in the next few days I expect this will cause a lot of churn, money go in, out & around etc.

Further, due to a recent change, it's no longer possible to sweep idle funds into the QAA (even though it seems to be), because the queue is bypassed by funds that are queued as a "direct investment", and there's a decent sized queue for that.
Consider it analogous to being in the check-in queue at a busy airport - you might think you're near the front, but they keep on calling forward people from other flights and you actually make no forward progress!
If you've got funds that you expect to be idle for more than a couple of days, add them directly to the QAA, and draw them out as required.

On top of this there may be a small increase in the size of the account before Christmas. If not there will definitely be a larger increase in early January. Until we're ready to stop growing the account we're aiming to try and keep increasing the account size at least as fast as direct funds are invested so that the sweep function still has a place and works. Ideally we'd keep the account size just ahead of the direct investments for that reason, but we're not quite there yet. As the account grows the rate at which we can grow it increases as well.
