Is it normal to have such a long queue to invest money in AC? How long does it usually take? In different accounts I have a queue position which ranges from 459 to 815.

I presume you are investing in the Quick Access Account, as that is the only one with a queue when you invest your idle funds in it. For the manual account you set a target for the loans you are interested in, and it will buy for you as the loans you are interested in have parts available. For the GBBA and Green Account, you invest directly.

Thanks spoke. I did put some money in the Green and Business accounts. In some way £30 were invested in the Business account but none in the green. There doesn't seem to be a way of looking at what is available in these two accounts.
Re Manual bids. I discovered how to make bids for pending loans. There isn't anything of interest which is available on the SM. I was wondering if I can place bids for other loans even if not currently available?
Yes, you are correct. The queue that I mentioned relates to the Quick account which on the looks of it seems a good idea; a way to invest money (even if at a low rate) that is currently idle. I do however find it conflicting calling it quick, unless this is not the usual situation.

You will probably be picking up a few quid here and there over time, as people sell to adjust their portfolios or draw money out. Whatever they are selling will be divided between those who are bidding.

The Q uick Access part of the QAA moniker should be thought of as referring to one direction only: the out door. The in-door operates on a more glacial time-frame, most of the time. As I'm sure Niall Horan would say himself. [Yes I did have to google that before anyone gets wayward thoughts about my musical tasts]
