Is this in the pipeline, anyone heard anything? I would doubt if SS will be interested in this. We know they offer good returns as they have a very lean business/resource model, opening up to ISA's could be lots of effort for smaller investments. time will tell...

I am hoping they would become an ISA manager. The so called small investors might turn out to be much bigger investors after all.

I'll certainly use my full ISA allowance with SS and will also tx in previous years ISAs if SS will register for ISA management. I'm happy to use an external manager such as UP if it is not too cost ineffective (ie I would pay a bit extra to use it but not too much extra).

I think I am heading towards preferring to work directly with the p2p platforms. Adding an extra layer in the middle means adding something else that can fail.

Thanks for the link, although they(and everyone else, including hmrc) are still rather short on details.

What the government has no idea about is how high the returns from P2P lending can be. I suspect that Osborne looked only at the top rates that ZP, RS, FC etc advertise. Of course, such rates have to be at the lower end of what is possible. Am very happy with government ignorance of that kind

Yes they could; one argument is that ISA's benefit the rich, and those who don't have any money to save at the end of a month, don't benefit one iota from ISA's.

At least two major P2P companies (RS and FC) have made in the last few days explicit statements about their release of IF ISA products (with possibility to import previous years ISAs as well). The discussion can be found here: p2pindependentforum.com/thread/2039/p2p-isa?page=7I would like to ask Saving Stream what is their view and what are their plans about IF ISAs.
