... those who don't have any money to save at the end of a month, don't benefit one iota from ISA's. I guess they'd benefit most from learning to manage their household budget properly, to ensure that they do in fact end up with money to save... then they'll be able to benefit from ISAs like everyone else!

At least two major P2P companies (RS and FC) have made in the last few days explicit statements about their release of IF ISA products (with possibility to import previous years ISAs as well). The discussion can be found here: p2pindependentforum.com/thread/2039/p2p-isa?page=7I would like to ask Saving Stream what is their view and what are their plans about IF ISAs. Zopa did too, although they hid it in their blog, for reasons known only to them (can't work email maybe?)

Even at the current c£15k pa allowance, the amount is peanuts to the high middle class & upwards savers so, in the grand scheme of things, I doubt any govt will bother with ISAs. They will possibly target pension tax breaks. Most likely, take with one hand & give with another & vice versa.

Well, summing up contributions for 10+ years+interest+ compounding effects, ISAs are not at all trivial numbers. P2P companies will make their best efforts to convince savers to transfer their savings over and I am sure most of us will do it! So let's see what are they going to offer...

I wonder if a lack of an ISA could be a problem for SS, money could be sucked elsewhere. I for one will be looking at my options, will other members be moving money to another site, who offer an ISA?

I started out in P2p in Zopa, and then came to SS. I know haven't yet diversified platforms as much as I should!
But 12% less tax at SS is still more than a 4% Zopa ISA so I don't think it will affect my choices at the moment.

My dividends come through at the beginning of April, teeing up nicely with the new ISAs being introduced for P2P platforms. As such, if SS don't offer their own ISA, I can see a chunk of those dividends being sent to a different platform. However, I must admit that I'm slightly uneducated about the new P2P ISA, so I will need to sit down and do some research in the near future. Has anybody got any good links where I can have a nice read.....

That's true, but it also depends on if the other large interest platforms (such as MT) offer an ISA of their own, then we would have something to think about. It seems that the vast majority of P2P platforms have yet to announce their own ISA, so maybe the details are being ironed out behind the scenes.

I did recently email Saving Stream about this. They confirmed that they're planning to introduce an ISA, but are currently waiting for some clarifications from the FCA (as are many other platforms as I understand it)

Hopefully, their full FCA membership application will go well. Thanks for sharing

I think a fair few sites has stated that they want to introduce one but at the moment the rules have not been set so until they are it is just a waiting game
