Hi.The overview page informs us whether the borrower is offering a personal guarantee or asset security.I feel it would be prudent if Rbs could enlighten all lenders what sort of PG it was eg property, whether in the UK or abroad and the amount of equity. Also what form of asset security it is and whether we have 1st charge upon them. Should this be offered then perhaps Rbs would fill their loan book much quicker rather than us waiting some times weeks before a loan is fulfilled and us lenders earning no interest during this period.I appreciate we can ask the potential borrower these questions but some take time to reply or not even at all. This would also help Rbs in that the borrower is not pestered by having to answer questions that Rbs already know the answers to,after all we are not in a secret society or are we???

Hi Magsie,
We very often include this information on the borrower profile - but it's clearly not getting seen, so it needs to be placed on the overview page as a downloadable document. This is now in place with B*******E R**********T L*D.
When we first started we thought the performance of the business would be the biggest influencer on lenders and we were mindful of displaying too much personal information, but it's increasingly becoming the security available, so you make a fair point.
Going forward I've asked the underwriting team to follow this format.
