Typical Daily Mail precision and/or AC spin:
"There are around 11,000 individuals lending through the platform, who account for £200million of the total available."
A few lines below:
"Since launching in March 2013, Assetz Capital has financed more than 220 loans totalling almost £100million."
So AC has got £100million of cash not invested in anything?
So headline says £525m, but amount lent is £100m??

that it is best treated as a notification that news is available Yes, this is probably a paid "press release" from AC (since no other P2P platforms are mentioned), someone must have given those "random" figure

It says £525m secured not lent.
£200m avaliable from PIs. AC have said elsewhere that they know there is significant PI cash out there that would be invested if the deal flow was there.

It does, alongside other institutions and pledges / canvassed amounts to lend from our HNW investors.

chris, thx for the clarification. If VPC still intends to lend the named amount within 5 years, AC needs to speed up on volume in the next 4 years.
