Back to liquidity. I just noticed that there are 92 loans on offer at the moment. The last time that happened a few days later loans started to stick through lack of bids and prices realised shot up. Are the good time about to roll again. I do hope so!

The number of loans may be up but the volume is down, 4.6m of originated loans this week (unless there's some Friday night overtime), helped by a very short day of only 383k yesterday. We might be on the other side of the peak. edit: a couple of extras just popped up whilst writing this, so £4.8m this week. 2nd edit, ahem, 3 more...£4.97m, any more?

There are still 9200 unsold loan parts for sale at par or better. So the corner has not been turned and high rates will persist through next week. When oh when will FC learn to alternate between a buyers' market and a sellers' market more frequently? How much capital do they think we can tie up?

I am uncomfortable with the certainty that a full exit (bar defaults and zombies) from FC is currently not possible. Loans in each risk band will not sell at par under certain rates, meaning that a proportion of all long term investors' portfolios are locked in.
