Are these allocations not still filling from the bottom? I thought the gaming days were behind us

They obviously went with the '% allocation' method (for loans over £1m) and they are seeing ever increasing amounts of game playing on the later tranches as a result. The phased release was probably a good idea w.r.t. the load on the website, but not w.r.t. changing prefunding requests on later tranches. And the SM pretty much froze up anyway (12 seconds to reload a page, I am now being asked for 3 sets of captchas for every bid .. needless to say nothing left by the time I get through them)

It might be that the definition of "small loan" for the bottom - up prefunding needs to be increased from £1 million.
In the past we would have expected to receive all or very close to what we had asked for on loans of the size that was released today, but in fact have ended up with a small proportion of what we asked for.
With the increased number of investors, and seemingly ever increasing size pots of cash looking for a home on this platform, maybe even loans of £5 million plus will be fully funded from launch?

So it seems that big hitters are still around. They have not taken their funds away as they said they might have to do if the bottom-up for <£1m will be implemented.

So - 40% at Tranche D. I wonder how many got burned at Tranche D, when they upped their pre-funding allocation x8 after Tranche C !! I bet a fair bit of Tranche D is put back onto the SM in the next hour!

Did they indeed say that? Surely you were misinformed?

SS need a 72hr ban on SM sales on newly released loans.

There has been a hope that big loans like this would free up the secondary market somewhat - given that we have got so little of this big one then that is clearly not going to happen.
I think SS's standard 12% is sticking out like a sore thumb as simply being too generous. It'd be great to have a debate - without rancour - whether we'd be better off with a lower percentage (if that mean't a greater volume of lending opportunities as SS became more competitive to borrowers).
SS lending is becoming about as accessible as housing is to first time buyers.....

So I only get about one third of my overall modest pre-funding, so why is there already these sums on the SM when we know everyone is receiving below their requested pre funding levels? Something ain't right!!!☹
