Is it my imagination or are rates softening? Fewer and fewer 13% offerings?

Is it my imagination or are rates softening? Fewer and fewer 13% offerings? I don't think it's your imagination, as I have similar feelings. Looking at the 173 active loans, I see... 4@14% 61@13% 93@12% 7@11% 8@below 11% Of the 13% loans, 18 are renewals, so some of those wouldn't be at 13% if they were new loans today.

If this is due to FS concentrating on better quality loans with more solid asset backing then I don't mind rates easing. Anything over 10% is OK by me if security is good.

May be due to the higher demand from an increasing pool of lenders. If 12% loans with no bonuses can be filled in minutes, then they can offer these lower rates to appear more attractive to potential borrowers.

Hope they're also concentrating equally hard on getting the steadily increasing list of overdue loans repaid! Especially the borrower who needs a good carpeting and the one that's taking the sipp.

Hope they're also concentrating equally hard on getting the steadily increasing list of overdue loans repaid! Especially the lender who needs a good carpeting and the one that's taking the sipp. I don't think carpeting any lender is going to get any overdue loan repaid!

Anything that's been running longer than 183 days (6 months), by which time there are usually updates on the loan page from FS as to what the hold-up is.

How can you see which loans are overdue payments please? Search the list of Active and Past Loans for 'Unredeemed'. If you're looking for historical data, search that list for 'Default'.

They are only categorised as "Unredeemed" once FS start taking recovery action (eg. preparing for auction). I have several others still listed as "Loan Active" that are up to 100 days overdue (eg. the Range Rover)
