How the hell can 20000 pounds just appear on the SM pass but all gone If you have a large account and want £25k of PBL081, and expect the loan to be 4x overfunded, then you put in a pre-fund request of £100k. When the overfunding turns out to be less than you expected, and your allocation is £45k, you end up with £20k more than you want, so you put the £20k excess up for sale on the SM.

But i thought loans will filled from the bottom up.

I only wanted 1k Sorry but i have a stupid American keyboard no pound sign As I travel to the US a fair bit, I have learnt to use "Alt+0163" to get me my £ sign ! PBL081 was not bottom up; everyone got allocated a percentage of their preferred allocation. Someone gamed the system to the max and just dumped the difference onto the SM There is no doubt that gaming needs to be eradicated (terminated as my avatar would say!) by SS.

Someone gamed the system to the max and just dumped the difference onto the SM If they really put in a maximum pre-fund, they might have had more than £20k surplus -- a £250k pre-fund would have been allocated about £110k. The max had been £250k, but that limit might have been removed when SS changed the max to match every individual investor's account size. (And my account isn't big enough to see whether the drop-down list might go beyond £250k now! )
