Thanks awk but have tried that but still cannot see the cancel button. The columns go from Loan ID across to Queue. Am I still being dim. Have you clicked on the loan itself in the selling list to display parts - cancel is at end?. There's a little down arrow on loan line you can click as well Thanks all for the help. I was in the right place all the time but on my screen it only showed as far right as the 'loan queue' box. Went to settings reduced to 90% and there it was. Thanks again

Investor Activity. Is this both buys and sells or sells only? Buys only Bus, sell - same thing here. Every transaction has a seller and buyer so for one it is sell and for the other it is a buy.

And also it therefore doesn't show you whether the availability is coming from a single large sale, or multiple small sales.

I have (finally) updated the FAQ - Euro final not holding attention - to include questions relating to the SM.

Hi I've just tarted on SS and have just invested £200 on PBL090 to dip my toe in. My only concern is the actual method of withdrawing funds from the SS account. I may be missing the abvious here but I can't see an actual link for requesting a withdrawal? Can someone please enlighten me?
I've read a lot of the posts on SS and I must say I'm really impressed with the community within this forum and I look forward to becoming a more active investor and member of the forum community.
Regards,
Paul

A tax question, how do you handle your tax?
After building up funds over say a few years tax at 45% must look daunting to those expecting a large return.
A genuine question, I'm not trying to catch anybody out, I'm not a tax official or anything like that.

Personally I pays it .. having kicked a bunch further down the road by investing in a SIPP, and having donated a bunch more to charity to ensure that the taxman is making his fair contribution to all those things I value but HMG decline to fund, while minimising my subsidy of HS2 and government bureaucracy. 8>.
If I pay much more than basic rate tax, I mucked up my calculations. Oh wait, I forgot, you can also have a tax minimisation punt via EIS investments, and sundry other risky bets (contact your IFA, but don't pay commission) .. however unless the EIS is worth supporting (I funded the Severn Valley Railway for a few quid some years back .. some people have excess time to donate, but I don't) I would likely not bother.

I agree with GSV3MIaC ; I had a meeting with my accountant the other day, and he had some interesting ideas on how to avoid manage some of my impending taxes, but personally I'd rather not be looking over my shoulder all my life. Remember that the IF-ISA is pending, and when that comes into effect we'll be able to invest £15,240/yr tax-free ( and I think that is due to increase?), and all the interest that occurs on that will be tax-free.
