Just wondering what the timescales people are experiencing when withdrawing cash from SS to it arriving in their bank account If you place you withdrawal request before about 9am on a Mon - Fri, it will generally hit your account a couple of hours later.

I've only done it once, for a measly £500; but on that occasion I demanded requested it on a Monday morning, and it appeared in my account the next working day Erm.... did someone mention a poll..... I volunteer ......
Damn it, I think I think I have a problem

Inconsistent, varies from very fast to acceptable, so I assume a manual process and depends on when you hit them. Compared to the laggards over at AC they are superfast.

Could it also be dependent on who you bank with
I know it should be instant, but I always get a warning from HSBC when I send funds that it could take longer depending on the recipient's account....

It will very much depend on your bank, not all UK banks use the same Fast Service Payment rules.

I put in a withdrawal request at 0800 this morning and it was in my bank by 0930.

I've always received money same day, usually within 2-3 hours, if I submit my withdrawal request before 12 am (4-5 times in the past couple of months). I believe the manual payment run is made around lunch time.

Just for the record I sold some small pieces of loans just after midnight and made a withdrawal request. (PP and PM will be getting this cash). Checked just after midday and the cash was in my account.
Quite pleased at the quickness of the transfer. Thanks SS.

Perhaps I was lucky with the timing of my request but it took less than 15 minutes for a withdrawal to reach my bank account this morning. Does MoneyThing now have a rival for banking speed?

What are people currently experiencing on withdrawal times? I have previously always received money same day, usually with a couple of hours, but I put in a withdrawal request early this morning and yet to have received funds. I tried calling them, but now get through to a call centre.........
