I laughed, and then followed up on the email I sent them back in the middle of February about the May investor drinks ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) .

I assume they are busy finding lots of new borrowers for us all :-)
Customer Services look after both existing lenders and borrowers. RateSetter has over a 100,000 live borrower loans and less than a third this volume of live lenders..... .....And guess which category takes up the majority of Customer Services time? And long may it continue ☺

Is anyone else having problems logging in. My partner and I both have accounts with Ratesetter. He is experiencing problems accessing his account. A message comes up stating their is a problem. He is entering the correct details. We both use the same laptop and tablet.. The tablet defaults to my account and he has to change the details, then login, but the laptop has no saved details. Things like this always concern me. I have contacted customer service via the website, but it can take a while for them to reply, which isn't always the best when you can't see what is happening to your funds. Morning I cannot login this morning either. Have tried all usual checks but no joy. This has n't happened before. Did RS mention what the problem was? I will call them asap. Thanks

Same here! Can't log into my wife's account. I phoned them and have reset my password. It appears the problem might have been that I made a mistake with first attempt and then the RS system locked me out and would n't let me make further attempts. Not exactly user friendly but hopefully RS will get that fixed.

Yes, that is what happened to us... and me trying to be helpful.. replicated on my account by using a reference number that was defunct.. customer services were very helpful... but be careful all you with fat fingers..probably needs a look at this, as they will be run off their feet..

account 'unlocked' now yet wife didn't call RS. Strange, what's going on with certain accounts?

Just had a case of this too yesterday. All sorted out with a quick email and password reset, but it does beg the question of whether they have made the number of wrong guesses at the password less 'lenient'. I seem to miss type it on a fairly regular basis the first time, and then actually pay attention on the second try and this is the first time I have been locked out.
A more sinister alternative is that someone bad out there has worked out that they only have to guess a username and password combination to get in and are locking accounts out at random by trying to do so. Unusuallly for a financial institution there is no second page asking a security question to get past with RateSetter.

I want to know why my wifes was locked then unlocked sometime later yet RS were never informed it had been locked. I think there might be some shenanigans going on. For the last few days, I've had difficulties getting into my mother's account, but she's been OK. Today, it's vice-versa - I can get in, she can't.

Same happened to me.
Security on Ratesetter seems incredibly lax considering the large sums some might have in Ratesetter accounts. I posted a thread "How good is Ratesetter account security?" before I read this. It's not even up to the standards of a decently secure bulletin board. A login using an email address that may have been used for every account used, including this board, is bonkers.
What concerns me is that they don't seem to have anyone who is aware of the security issues and there could be problems in other areas too. That being the case they need to get an outside consultant in sharpish.

I set up a security question after reading this thread. Today I logged on twice and was not asked it. I think this question is used when you phone RS about a sensitive matter and has nothing to do with logon. Or am I missing something?
