All of which is lovely, although it does ignore my "per £100 invested". It also ignores my actual point, which is one of relative risk. If a chunk of that £50k goes pop because you've ignored all the loan details bar the %age return, then that 0.085% difference per month in return very quickly looks insignificant, doesn't it? It does. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen. I do mitigate risk as far as possible through diversity. Just had a count up - currently my LY money earning interest is spread across 24 loans. However that number is slowly reducing and I'm on the verge of exiting Hull - but that could take a few more days.

If just one of those 24 goes totally pop, you've lost four years worth of 11% vs 12% interest difference.

All I see is adrianc talking to himself george is a fan of diversity (24 loans), is on verge of leaving Hull (imminently); adrian prefers safety in numbers (11%).

No news yet and this loan, and the other Exeter, are now down to 1 day.
So if nothing happens in the next day, these will slip into 'Interest Serviced By Lendy' territory.

Sooo, if I've got this straight, the recent updates were: 1. 28 April: solicitors are ready for sale of units ( ah great weheey!) 2. 11 May: the last remaining point has been resolved which will enable completion ( oh .. so it wasn't ready then? ok nevermind, at least now that it is resolved, there's nothing else in the way and completion is now enabled) 3. 26 May: solicitors are finalising matters so everything will be concluded shortly ( finalisation? where did that come from?) 4. 09 June: solicitors have finalised matters ( let me guess, next update: solicitors have now concluded matters and everything will be settled shortly)

One of my biggest gripes with Lendy is the constant use of terms like "shortly", "soon", etc. in these updates. There is never a commitment made to any sort of timetable. I accept that delays are part of P2P, but there should be clear timing expectations with explanations given when they slip, and Lendy should be chasing (especially advisors, receivers, selling agents, etc.) to seek to mitigate any delays, whereas quite often they say things like "we are waiting for an update" rather than "we are hounding for an update". All I ask is for some proactivity and for that to be communicated. I don't think it's a lot to ask.

Would be nice, lendinglawyer - as would some form of quantified progress reporting on DFLs, but from Lendy's perspective the downside is: " Give your customers a yardstick to measure you by and they will beat you with it". Well... we would, wouldn't we? Please form an orderly queue.

Hmm, wise man once tell me 'you get what you put up with', which applies equally to Lendy, we lenders, and most of the rest of the universe. If something is not acceptable, kick, scream, and eventually send it back / walk away .. if you put up with it, you'll be given the same again next time (if not something worse) - irrespective of whether you moaned about it or not.
