It's worse than that - I have once had just the one, and once or twice received 3. I guess there must be something on the site that gets set once an email has gone, and it isn't always getting set correctly - I wonder if anyone has yet received 4 or more? I agree it is not a huge problem, but yes, it does look rather unprofessional. As mentioned elsewhere, I'd also like to be able to moderate the deluge of emails associated with selling or buying loan parts (where I don't get duplicates, but often even 1 is more than I wanted, given that none of them actually tell me which loan it was).

Can it be a bug in an associated software package? i.e. a software package that receives the instruction to send the email and then misbehaves. (Cannot explain it better.)

A new feature has been added to the site so you can turn off these emails.
Click "MY ACCOUNT" and then "EMAIL PREFERENCES".

Received four notifications overnight for one deposit, the most I've had yet.

I couldn't find the bit which says "I do want to receive emails (but do not want up to four each time)."

I expect that's a hidden option. I also can't see any way to turn on/off new pipeline loan, or go-live, announcements (never mind loan updates, which seem to have turned themselves off, at least as emails), so hopefully those keep coming. savingstream - 9/10 for implementing a useful feature, 'nil points' for not telling anyone about it. 8>. |
