I have some loans in Z+ for £8k, £10k and even more. If we take a loan of £8k, that would require 400 lenders at £20 each. If we assume hundreds (thousands?) of Z+ loans in the pipeline I can see why lending is so slow. Solution, microloans of £50 or even £100 by agreement with the lender. We all know that there is a risk in Z+ and I personally wouldn't mind taking on a bit more in exchange for faster lending. Isn't the amount per borrower dependent on the amount on offer? If so, to get £50 loans you would probably need over £5,000 when you top up (they announced dropping the amount per loan to 1%).

With the introduction of these new products, Zopa said everyone would lending in £10 chunks. Is anyone lending in bigger chunks? If so Z have changed their minds. I've always preferred smaller. Edit. I always think of Zopa as have the conservative approach to p2p; in this case that would be start slow and small.

I am getting £20 chunks. I did start with Z+ with just over £2k on offer ,so that would fit the 1% rule..
