Any thoughts on why there's still over £1m available in #244, last night's £1.85m 12% 12 month bridging loan? I hadn't expected it to be swallowed whole immediately but to see well over half on the market surprises me. Is it simply loan supply exceeding lender demand or did others spot something I missed...?

I didn't see any hidden clambers. I think that MT, AC, SS are all in feast mode currently!

Very minor historical note.
Reading Naomi Mitchison's War Diary for Mass Observation there is an entry for April 24, 1941:
"In Glasgow, R****o's full up so we dined at the Grosvenor..."
Nice to know our champagne socialists of yesteryear didn't have to slum it, even in wartime.
