These days all the info is on KeePass along with my passwords. Reading through lot's and lot's of post's sometimes pulls out little nuggets of gold, i have been worried for age's about my long list of password's, stored on my memory stick hidden upstairs, behind the big wardrobe, under the suitcases... and then, here, "keePass" , never heard of it before (i know what your probably thinking) i downloaded it and its brilliant, so all the reading was worth it, i feel contented that my passwords are now safe (ish).

getting off the subject, how does it work, does it log in/put the passwords in for you? or does it just open a file for cut'n'paste?

brianac Basically KeePass allows you to create a password protected encrypted database on your PC, which holds the passwords and login details for all your accounts. You can set up stronger security than just a password if you want to. If you put the database in the cloud (mine is in my Dropbox) you can access it from any PC with KeePass installed. There is also a mobile app (for Android at least, I don't know about other systems). KeePass has an autotype facility to do the whole login or, if the target site is set up to remember you, you can just copy and paste the password. There is a notes field for each account as well, so you can add other narrative such as your telephone password, memorable words, etc. It's not the only game in town. I've seen others on this forum sing the praises of LastPass.

LastPass is free for PCs but you have to pay for Android. It generates and stores very strong passwords and does the login for most sites automatically. All my P2P sites are in a favorites list so easy to move between them except for Assetz, which insists on asking an annoying question.

I use roboform to and pay for it although if you do not have many I think you can have up to about 20 free
