Best player i ever saw.. 1986 world cup . Diego Maradona.  Ummm, didn't Maradona play volleyball? George Best was the best player I ever saw live, Cryuff sadly only on TV, both exceptional players. RIP Johan and George.

RIP Johan and George. Ought to say Paul Gasgoine - then we'd have Johan,Paul and George! But it has to be (Sir) Bobby Moore. Too short, no pace - best defender ever (ask Pele) and a great passer of the ball. Evidence: 4th goal in 1966 WC final 1st goal in WC final. Geoff Hurst's goal v Argentina (1966 QF) And best of all, 1964 FA Cup semi final v Man U at Hillsboro. Intercepted a pass from Law to Best, floated over the mud bath of a pitch to the only piece of grass and played the ball into the path of one G Hurst who buried it with one touch. (Think Mahrez - Vardy - GOAL v Liverpool except on ploughed field)

George Best, we went to Molyneux to see MU in 1967ish
Best got the ball in the opposition's half, three big rough tough Wolves players came at him from all sides, there was some sort of crash, they all fell over and he carried on, ball still glued to his feet.
