I am pleased we still have this liquidity, particularly with the negative press about the rate of sale of houses prior to the european vote. Im sure the farm tranches will reappear soon on the SM....... I have seen several comments about farmland going on the secondary market, yet no good reason. Did I miss something? Not as far as I know. I guess its mention is because there was regular availability in the 2 bigger tranches (A & D) over the recent "glut" period as lenders reduced their holdings (largely, I assume, because they misjudged the pre-funding allocations initially).

As of right now there's just under £30k available on the secondary market (most in PBL087).

Anyone else finding that you need to login now to see available loans? Before yesterday I could just go to savingstream.co.uk/loans/available but that now redirects to savingstream.co.uk/loans/live unless logged in.

And because the originally published loan term was 12 months but was reduced (corrected?) to 6 months shortly after launch. I suspect many lenders like to gradually reduce their holdings as the term reduces.

A tad annoying to have to login each time. I was assuming its because there isnt anything available at the point you open the homepage so it defaults to live loans. Did this before when the cupboard was bare IIRC.

I joined SS in Jan and the cupboard was bare for weeks and I always saw the "All loans are fully funded" message without logging in so for me at least, something has changed.

Mmm, certainly strange then. I use Firefox which became unstable on Weds so I created a new profile. Its since then that the change has occurred for me. I did used to have some other glitches on SS with this profile too so maybe there was a problem there. It's not the end of the world but it did used to be useful to see what was available when not logged in (even if I was the only one that could do this)

Farmland values have been dropping so the LTV has been getting worse. See for example English farmland prices hit by Brexit fears ( direct link) and Farmland values see big drop ahead of EU referendum, new figures say: " The future for farm incomes remains rocky with the cost of prime arable land falling for the first time in 13 years, according to Savills. The estate agent expects prices will continue to fall over the next three years before recovering in 2019".

After choosing a few live loans to review that I haven't seen on the SM at all, all of them have some investor activity today. Have those people just been looking at the right time or am I missing something? I seem to spend a fair bit of time refreshing my screen but no joy for a few days in getting anything.

Have a try in the wee small hours, stuff doesn't seem to disappear so quickly at those times. Brian

Wait for a new loan to be launched. Theres always plenty of stuff on the SM with people diversifying etc, but you still need quick fingers.
