Recently there seems to have been a banking run on Saturday mornings too.

Made purchases yesterday and sent money by bank transfer early this morning. The money has not been credited to my account although having left my bank. I have not received normal email from SS to say it is received and I have emailed them 3 hours ago without any reply. The phones are now on answerphone and I assume that is for the weekend. Is there any further bank reconciliations due today or tomorrow or do I just wait till Monday and hope that investments are not cancelled. Usually one Sat. Just because its left your account doesnt mean SS will have received it or can see it has arrived. Monday Tuesday EOD is legal FP deadline

Again a similar thing for me again. Purchased a loan part late on Thursday afternoon, payment sent 8am Friday and not credited as of yet. Hopefully there will be a Saturday payment run. OK small amount, but slight concern that it will take me outside the 48 hours.... I want to pay my dues... just call me honest John
I do like the flexibility of buy now, pay later, but get worried when I pay later and I can't see it getting paid!

When I logged on this morning just after 7 am the payment I had made just after midnight had been credited to my account to clear my negative balance. Since SS seem to only credit payments once at the start of the day (but the time varies) anyone making a payment, say at 8 am this morning will not see it credited until the next "run". That could be Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues since Monday is a bank holiday. Mike

Bank holiday weekend, end of month interest payments. I can see it taking until Wednesday before all accounts t are straight. Does make you feel better when the payment you sent has been credited though doesn't it.
