how can you put an AI order at a specific rate ? A loan may range from 5%-15% At the moment AI doesn't involve itself in variable rate auctions and the business doesn't have plans to list any. I know you don't plan to do any in the future, but for historical loans still live, what about K**e Pl** Gr**p (40), which I've picked up AM units on manually at varied rates 14.4-15.0% -- all good, not so good if I picked up a 5%

I would suggest not using AI on historic auctions with variable rates and I'll add some code to prevent it from operating on them soon.

Apologies if this has been asked before but in reference to reverse auctions, how can you put an AI order at a specific rate ? A loan may range from 5%-15%, is there a way to indicate the minimum rate accepted for that AI to go through as I can't seem to be able to see it? chris? Thanks At the moment AI doesn't involve itself in variable rate auctions and the business doesn't have plans to list any. The facility would be easy to add but as a business we're happier pricing to risk rather than pricing to liquidity as it results in a fairer return to our lenders. But earlier you gave a slightly different answer Chris There were a couple of reverse auctions with wildly different rates (10-15% auction 40 springs to mind), so I'm steering clear of setting AI for them as it's more likely the lower rates will come up for sale. Auto-invest only operates, for now, on loan units whose interest rate is equal to the maximum allowable against a loan. So in a 10 to 15% auction it would only operate at 15%. As we don't really do variable rate auctions any more our handling of them is rather simplistic. More controls over this are planned for phase 2.

Can anyone explain chris ? why my auo invest activity just shows the same message on every loan with AI activated: Buying loan units in 'TWY - 5 year repayment loan - 10% per annum - 78% loan to value' to value GBP 8.07 i.e. It just shows "buying loan units in '" then the loan name then it shows "' to value GBP 8.07" ? and yes, it always seems to be the same GBP 8.07. According the statement, it's done nothing. All this chatter about the ins and outs of AI is all very interesting but can it really be still so broken/confusing/Un documented except in 15 page threads on here? I've got money to invest and I'd like it to just "work" and I'd like to know that it is.. I'm sure chris and co are the only ones who can explain, but I'm getting the same sort of thing as you paul123I've noticed that AI is giving the odd messages where my holding is lower than my target, it then states, I think, how much it's looking for. For Optical £21.79 in my case. This is good news to me as I think this means Chris is trying to code for AI the break off parts to the size that the punter is short on each Loan and wants.

It would appear that Auto-invest has stopped working on my account as the last activity shows on 9/5/2014. Anyone else finding this? I've sent an email to AC. FYI chris

The logging was changed to remove all the "checked but did nothing" logs so only "did something" gets logged. AI is probably still working just not being quite so vocal about it.

Auto invest did not work correctly for me today on York****e. I already had £100 of units from the auction, and set it to buy more before selling some other loans units. It bought up to £300, and then left money unused in my account when the auto invest level was more than £100 higher than my current investment. I Bought what I wanted manually, but Auto invest clearly has a bug.

Something's not quite as it should be; it worked ok for me but on Liverpool I can see one pre-bid of £20 (or 0.02%) still sitting there, we were told that they die after the start of the auction and AI takes over in effect. I'm not clear what your situation is, andy2001, can you go through the story again? It sounds similar to Come_on_Grandad story Here

Looking at AI activity on my a/c reveals the following:-
Nothing from 12 May (16.11) until 16 May (10.22) which is as it should be now. Between 10.22 and 16.54 on 16 May there were 7 incidents of "buying loan units", including 3 consequtive ones of BWT, but only the last BWT incident at 13.51 actually bought a loan unit. No activity since then.
This is just for info as it obviously didn't go quite as smoothly as I thought it had.

It finally worked for me though as I picked up some Burnley.....I'm gonna party! And dammit they were mine I'm pretty sure, which somehow I managed to autoinvest away, not what i understood invest to mean. This is a long thread, is there a instruction manual somewhere as to how it works? Does max percent 25% mean a maximum of 25% of the entire loan (if so who has 100K lying around just in case?)?

I think AC are inputting 'tooltips' so that as your cursor hovers over over something a message appears saying what that box does or what to do next. Or atleast that's what I remember and I don't know how extensive the tooltips will be. I think it does mean 25% of the whole loan, but only the remaining principle as it's paid off during it's life.

I've got a suggestion in fact two
in the auto-invest box rather than say total target investment say total target holding because I think if I already own 500 and I want to buy another 400 I kind of think my investment target is 400 (as opposed to 900 which is what you mean)
also
The confirmation screen for autoinvest could certainly be made more informative like this current holding £1234 target holding £999 will seek to sell £235
or current holding 0 target holding £123 will seek to buy £123 (but please explain dear god why you distinguish between pre bids / actual bids / buy units in this context)
