If i want to invest in the secondary market, how do I know how long a loan has to run?
As has happened again today following the going live of the IOW loan, the opportunities are fleeting and I don't have time to check what's going on before someone else has swept them up!

Do your research in advance. Make a shopping list.

Do your research in advance. Make a shopping list. But, looking into each one, I cant see a start and end date listed anywhere?

But, looking into each one, I cant see a start and end date listed anywhere? See the "Particulars" tab on the loan page. I see something like this:- LOAN TERM (MIN) 1 month LOAN TERM (MAX) 113 days Is that "1 month" and "113 days" from todays date?

See the "Particulars" tab on the loan page. I see something like this:- LOAN TERM (MIN) 1 month LOAN TERM (MAX) 113 days Is that "1 month" and "113 days" from todays date? No; that is the terms that were set out when the loan went live (and they are fairly ambiguous on older loans). For the remaining time, simply look at the "REMAINING TERM" column in the "LIVE LOANS" tab. This remaining term is supposed to indicate the time that interest has been paid, but again this is fairly ambiguous.

It means the loan should have 113 days still to run. This counts down from the original max term. The min term relates only to the start of the loan.

Note that the accuracy of remaining time on several loans is open to question as updates reporting extensions do not always seem to tally with remaining run times/initial loan term. Furthermore hardly any loans actually redeem on time. See here

seems I'm gonna have to get a bit nifty around the keyboard in future! With the SM as liquid as it is at the moment the best bet is to buy what you can then if you don't like the look of it after you've bought it sell it again.
