My "Actual interest" value on my Viventor account has always been exactly 12.00%, even though I have things in my account that should lead this number not to be perfectly at par:
* some loans that are delayed * some loans have paid overdue fines * I received secondary loan premiums * I have had loans with less than 12% interest
It seems unlikely that these forces even each other out every single time I look at my account.
I may add that your competitors always show a calculated value based on the actuals, and the value fluctuates all the time.
Hence, my question: How is the "Actual interest" calculated?

Hi, We deployed several improvements over last weeks regarding the computation, but the current method is still to be perfected. We are also looking in introducing a more general and widely acknowledged way of calculating the return. In the meantime, I can suggest you using some independent XIRR calculators. Quite a few investors prefer to go this path, since an independent calculator gives you the best comparison of returns earned on different platforms. With the Account Statement exporting feature, you can easily do this. Here is one example from this very forum: p2pindependentforum.com/thread/5113/xirr-calculator-spreadsheet-returnsHere's an article on the topic: www.p2p-banking.com/investor-calculating-yield-with-xirr/

Hey. How's it going with the improvements? I also have a question, I have a 2 cent difference between "funds available" and "earned so far". I do understand that a 2 cent difference is not a significant amount, but.. - Is the "earned so far" doing some prognosis how much will I get back from bought loans ?
- In one of the posts you mentioned that in back end you're calculating up to 7 decimal places, are the "funds available" and "earned so far" roundings inaccurate maybe?

novice, 1) Earned so far is only reflecting received payments. Projections are coming later. 2) There are indeed some inaccuracies that we are working on to be fixed these days. Toms
