I raised this question a while back and was advised to contact customer services - which I must get around to doing ...
My speculation (since I have the majority of my funds in GBBA) is that current accrued interest represents the projected gross return from the underlying loans, but when it comes due and is added to the total investment figure, it gets tweaked to apply the 7% cap on GBBA returns.
Chris from Assetz mentioned that the current accrued interest figure is a notional number and doesn't form part of the formal accounting.
My speculation could be wildly wrong, of course, which is why I am taking screenshots of my dashboard around noon every day for a month so I can present real numbers to customer services for comment.

Thanks dermot that would make sense of it As about 50% of my funds are in GBBA too, would you mind updating when you have spoken to CS?
