Mine's gone. Was fine until ten minutes ago.
And dead on IE as well as Firefox.

Looks like a hypervisor failure at Rackspace's end (i.e. the physical server the virtual machine that powers the database runs on is kaput).
The site will be down until Rackspace can restore the virtual machine. Will keep you posted.

It's a very odd failure mode that I've never come across before -- my browser simply returned an empty page. It didn't complain, didn't produce a 404 error, didn't report the website not found.

Yes mines doing that too now, but to start with a nice message came up with the AC logo saying there was maintenance taking place. If it didn't come up I couldn't have spelt mainte..... correctly.

At least with the site down we can all go now and get some sleep or eat something! Nah! We're now glued to our screens hitting the Refresh button!  Which, I might add, now has gone back to producing a blank screen with no message.
