I was just about to write to my MP before I noticed that the Egg story is from five years ago, the other story is more current.

I was just about to write to my MP before I noticed that the Egg story is from five years ago, the other story is more current. Not only six years ago, but from the Daily Wail. How strange it doesn't appear to have come to pass. The BBC piece on chocolate forgets one small detail. Chocolate isn't required to be 30% cocoa solids, 5% non-cocoa vegetable fat, 20% milk solids. It's required to be at least 30% cocoa solids, and no more than 5% non-cocoa vegetable fat/20% milk solids... How terrible that regulation is in place to save us from rubbish cheapened to the cusp of inedibility... Oh, wait - what's that? The UK fought a 27-year battle to be allowed to take chocolate down-market, because our "traditional" chocolate was too cheap and nasty for the previous standard? Sometimes, I wonder...

Mod hat firmly strapped under chin. Just a quiet word in your collective ear - the quickest way to put this thread into quarantine will be to let it descend into ungentlemanly or unladylike invective. I'm not saying we're there yet, but a previous thread on this subject was not uplifting - to say the least.

Usually many undecided will vote for the status quo and so unless brexit establishes a consistent 5% to 10% lead we will bremain.
DC's recent attempt to scare pensioners in to voting bremain is another low.
However, as a longstanding outer I am now being swayed by the uncertainty argument.
Most long term effects of out or in cannot be accurately or reliably foretold but business and markets do not like uncertainty and we are in that now and likely to be so for at least another two years if we leave, this is not good.

.... I'm not saying we're there yet, but a previous thread on this subject was not uplifting - to say the least. Which rather sad to observe - considering the massive importance of the issue - could also be said of the supposed debate at a national level.

I assumed at the outset of this thread that myself and skippyonspeed were just having a josh about. Not interested in going elsewhere so i'm off..
