Why couldn't the secondary market have looked like this when I started a month ago? All that patience, just sitting there, poised like a coiled cat, mouse-finger at the ready. I should have just waited - could have got all diversified in just one afternoon.
So, how long will it take to settle down?

Ignoring the big red box (which will presumably be there until the security has sold), the rest will probably disappear over the space of about 2 weeks.

I cleared out some loans yesterday, put in some extra money and waited.
I watched as some very rare and desirable loans hit the SM.
Eventually about 90 minutes ago I suddenly decided I had missed a great opportunity.
I scrapped my pre funding of the Nine and picked up some of the loans on the SM. The juiciest had gone.

There are endless posts from people moaning about the SM, on numerous occasions people were advised to sit tight, use pre fund initially and eventually the SM will become more accessible.
Sorry to say it but you and many others were told.

It wasn't a moan - just general "sh*t happens" statement. Yes there were many comments about the SM being a feast and famine type thing, but this is the first time I've experienced it for myself.
I am curious (but not worried) about how long things will take to settle down though as I haven't such a big surplus before.

We have never had a 12Mil go live day before so, My guess would be it could take a bit longer than two weeks but then again it could all be gone by this time next week. You never know  |

Considering how much of PBL 20 has passed through the SM last few weeks, nothing would surprise me now,

Look at the "Investor Activity" tab to see how little's actually selling... A grand since the 9th, £113k for sale now.

Wonder if a BH has moved on, could easily be one BH taking out 1Mil and that is most of the SM for you.

You never know It would have been gone in a flash before because there was someone called m********3 who used to buy everything in sight on the secondary market in a nano second. Is that investor still around,I haven't seen that name for a while although I haven't been looking really. I used to curse that person a few months ago because I could never get a sniff at the secondary market and now I have got a number of unsold loan parts I wish he would return! I am sure he was playing a bit dirty and had some automated loan part buying program running 24/7.
