I have just put up for sale two loans 89 and 91, 81 has been sold and ammounted credited to my account, loan 91 has been 92% sold but no money credited to my account why is this? could it be that the money is only credited to your account when it is 100% sold? Yes , it will be credited once 100% sold. thanks for your nreply, since the ammount outstanding to sell is just £1.27 is there a time limit on how lond SS will with hold payment?

No time limit - you will only get credited once 100% sold. If you need the credit now, you could just purchase the remaining amounts (assuming that your parts are at the front of the queue, which they should be if they are partially sold).

Until it sells, or repays, in theory months, if the 1.27 didn't sell I'm sure it will sell soon. Or you could buy it yourself, to release the funds.

If you're worried about it buy the £1.27 back yourself, it must be at the fromt of the queue... Edit: Oops, didn't see Liz's reply....

Thanks for your reply, did what you suggested and it freed up just over £300 and then put the remaining loan back on sale, and low and behold it sold in just under 3 minutes.

I have a similar problem, don't want to sell my best loans to settle a negative balance. I would sell some that I bought in the last 7 days, but obviously can't. I withdrew money on Friday morning and again on Friday afternoon. Neither payment has arrived in my bank account. These payments would cover my negative balance. Is there any way of cancelling withdrawal instructions ? I hope SS process withdrawals a few hours before deleting pre-fund allocations. Bear in mind that SS dont process withdrawls if there is a negative balance, even if that was created after the withdrawl request was made but before SS get round to actioning it. The request just remains in limbo until negative is resolved Email SS and they might recredit the unprocessed withdrawls ( I think they have done before)

For the first time ever got a text from SS reminding me of my negative balance (only 24 hours old), however I wonder given the amount of stuff they put on the SM this morning they are starting to tighten up.

When the SM is like has been for the past few days, it is best to split loans into smaller chunks, that way if a small portion isn't moving you still get payments for the parts have that have fully sold.

How often do SS update the account balance shown?
I got the rather insistent email from them early this morning, and immediately transferred the appropriate amount. Now, NatWest claim that "faster payments" should arrive within 2 hours, yet no update shown on SS. (I did successfully make a payment before, so the details should be correct.)
Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, but I'm a newbie to this particular forum, being gradually lured over from Fumbling Circus.

By the way, there is a FAQ at the top of the board which might answer any Qs like this. Link to that any other interesting bits in my sig below (Quick check - yep covered that)

I did read the FAQ in it's entirety, however some evidently went in one ear and out the other

Are SS allowing more time for payment at the moment because of the sales queues on the secondary market ?
