I definitely did not want Luton, but aimed to pick up the other two on the SM. Oops.

curiously pbl116 keeps popping up £500 here £300 there and gone in a flash, there are far better investments than a commercial in luton now sat on the SM untouched.. Diversification - people might already have substantial chunks of those "far better investments".

I'd rather own larger chunks in just the supposedly better investments, than a chunk in every investment.

Diversification - people might already have substantial chunks of those "far better investments". Diversification shouldn't be pursued religiously. I'd rather own larger chunks in just the supposedly better investments, than a chunk in every investment. Currently 83 live loans now after today's offering and talk of much more coming next week. Having an even amount in each is some pretty strong diversity to just write off as a plausible investment strategy. If we get to 100 live loans and you invested in them all you would need more than one a month to default (and get beyond the provision fund and asset backed protection) to start making dents in your capital.

This was my thought also, based on the smallish amounts that keep emerging , usually £500 or less, if i had £500 waiting to be invested and i was holding say £2k in pbl090 , i think i would be happier having £2.5 in pbl090 than £500 in a commercial in luton @ 70%ltv.

I also think that there are 2 loans on the SM which are being overlooked, pbl025 and, for some strange reason, my last 6 month favourite pbl033. pbl033 is showing 11 days, but the update shows 3 month extension in place and interest paid, with Lloyd's bank dangling the carrot. so actually 101 days left. 36% ltv. pbl025 is showing -115 days (bit more risky) but barring something unusual, it will follow into a dfl, 12 months min i would expect. 56%ltv at the moment. Both look a very good punt on the SM, and that's where I've gone fairly heavily over the last week or so. hope i'm right.

Both do look good, although I am avoiding PBL25, simply because SS have been threatening to turn that into a DFL for 3 months now. A month ago they said it was due to do so in a week... I have the feeling a lot of investors don't look into the details, don't complete any DD and simply buy and sell according to the indicated age.

(Famous last words)
