Hi. I have been using Distill Web Monitor for a while as a useful alert for when certain loans become available. The last few days I have noticed a problem where the 'remaining' amount (being monitored) is no longer updated when someone buys/sells that loan. This did not occur until a few days ago, and now there is no indication if the loan is still available after filling in the picture boxes. Has anyone else noticed this problem? I wonder if I have accidentally changed a configuration parameter somewhere to switch off dynamic update.

It's almost like they didn't want people to be able to pre-fill the Captcha and then sit in wait for availability...

The page auto-refresh disappeared at the same time Saving Stream (allegedly) upgraded their servers. The words they used were "technical improvements" - it now looks likely that this didn't mean upgrading the servers, but reducing the load by turning off the auto-update functionality...

I spent my teenage years living in the Beehive on West St. (late 60's / early 70's) and became an owl. Been down in Hampshire since '75 but still get to Sheffield to visit relatives and watch the blue and white wizards now and then.

Just before my time. We moved to Sheffield in Aug 66 so I missed out on that one (probably a good thing that I did  ?).

Pretty sure they mucked something up too as tile view in the pipeline page doesn't show how much you're pre-funding in each loan. List view is fine. Edit: SS know about the issue and plan to fix it this week.

Ok, I got the official line on this from SS. The change was made to "reduce impact on the server which has resulted in vastly improved server performance, with a small reduction in website functionality".
So, it looks like we are going to have to live with this ☹️
Makes buying on the SM a little harder for those 'hard to get' loans......
