Money on loan is around 105 million. Loans on sm are reported as being around 4 million. Obviously nobody wants to buy the defaulted property, or anything very overdue. However if everyone of us increased our investment by 4% the sm would be cleared of the backlog.
Impossible, I know.

Increase your investment by 100%, and you can take the place of a couple of dozen other people who don't bother or aren't able to...

And, right on cue, here comes just over £3m in repayments... from the nine! 110, 111, 114.

In theory what with the stock market taking such a crash, investors should come running to SS! LOL to Investor

Why early? Apologies as I don't follow this platform as much as others.

I shan't sulk. I shall merely keep my lottery winnings (when I win it) and not clear the backlog.

In theory what with the stock market taking such a crash, investors should come running to SS! Why? If they are happy with property risk they can buy Barratt 40% cheaper than it was on Thursday, why would they invest in SS at the same price as it was on Thursday? (Or iShares UK Property 22% cheaper than Thursday, or P2PGI 8% cheaper than Thursday...)

(Or iShares UK Property 22% cheaper than Thursday, or P2PGI 8% cheaper than Thursday...) Because of less volatility. Dividends on Barratt are pathetic and their share price is nowhere near historic lows. It could drop much further still. I'd prefer to invest in asset back loans that pay a high coupon without the fluctuations in capital value.

SavingStream Stats: Amount loaned with us £157,532,585 divided by Number of investors 8,926 Average investor invests £17,500. Not enough deposit for a Buy To Let mortgage!
