So I pick a loan that's listed on the secondary market and I have a loan part for. I can see there how much is available in it. I thought if I want to sell my loan part, I would be at the end of the sales queue so the queue size should be the same as the available. However, I see it's consistently shorter.
For instance, at time of typing PBL049 has Available £79,878 but Sales queue £62,517.71
So the implication is that there's loan parts available but if I sell mine, it will sell quicker than £17k of the available.
What accounts for this difference?
I've recently started on SavingsStream (back when the secondary market was usually empty) and finding it a very interesting system, just a few quirks like that which I don't quite understand.
Thanks, Oli

Thanks, Oli You go to the back of the queue behind genuine sellers. The remainder of that queue is either... 1. Excess amount that wasn't pre-funded, and dumped on the SM by SS (but not the case with PBL049, as it went live so long ago) 2. Housekeeping by SS, where they have returned loan parts to the SM that investors did not fund within 48hrs (this has been a big problem as of late...)
