Lots of loan parts up for sale. What's going on?? Should I be concerned?? Short answer - there is very unlikely to be anything to be concerned about. A lot of people use p2p platforms with liquid secondary markets priced at par (e.g. SS and AC) as an extension of their current account and will "park" blocks of money in loans for a few days or weeks, then liquidate it when the cash is needed elsewhere ... I will shortly have a large 5 figure amount of cash that is destined for a house extension in a few months time, I'm going to have to find somewhere to park it in the meantime and whilst the monthly options at RS and W&Co will take some of it, most will end up in AC & SS.

Lots of loan parts up for sale. What's going on?? Should I be concerned?? Lots more green than there has been recently. Mr K*****w funded 025 with £100k earlier today, so perhaps someone is moving significant funds around.

It would be useful for SS to identify sales as well as purchases in "recent activity."

It would be useful for SS to identify sales as well as purchases in "recent activity." My understanding of the 'recent activity' tab, was that it only shows 'Sales'. So that would mean the £100k in PBL 025 would have been a purchase.. That has started me thinking that maybe my first interpritation was wrong...

Lots of loan parts up for sale. What's going on?? Should I be concerned?? Well, j did say... I'm off to look at my funds with SS to reduce exposure drastically as I refuse to invest at my current level or more without further input/clarification on the matter. I haven't a clue whether his holding was large enough that a drastic reduction would explain the appearance of £100k of PBL019 on the secondary market.

It would be useful for SS to identify sales as well as purchases in "recent activity." solicitorious: Are you saying that you'd like each line on the Recent Activity tab to show the seller as well as the buyer that it shows now? Or something else entirely?

Yes, I don't see why not. solicitorious: OK. I understand what you're asking for. Now... What would be the advantage of having that additional info? I can see that it would allow us to see whether the parts were coming from a single large seller or a lot of smaller ones. And if we can identify our own entries in the table we could see when our own parts are sold, though we do have other means to do that now -- as long as the system doesn't have glitches. But I'm not sure what I usefully could do with that info. Any other suggested uses?

Would be nice to have such an impact on a loan, it might get a bit of action going from the powers that be if they think some big players are moving posts. Alas, not the case, just pure coincidence

There is (as I write) £1K on the SM for PBL008, and £1k+ on 2000 Traditional Stern Narrowboat 62'

A few bits available right now. ...including about £8k of PBL007 -- roughly 5% of the £168k loan -- with no hint whatsoever on the website of the fact that the borrower has defaulted.

Various bits & bobs have appeared on SM. I've topped up in small increments myself.
