Just did a quick check. I am 93.1% invested with a headline rate of 9.19%, so having deducted BM fees and reduced the rate because I am not fully invested, I come up with an actual net rate approximately 7.7% before third party fees and default losses. That'll do for now. 96.55% (headline 9.18% net approx 7.9%) 31 August. Bearing in mind there will always be repayments waiting for reinvestment as my account grows, I think 96%+ is perfectly acceptable for a "hands off and go to sleep" account. 2nd edit: well that's not so good. Added funds late on 31 August bring my deployed amount down to 88.5% (headline 9.18%, net approx 7.5%), but no investments deployed on 1 Sept or 2 Sept, so there it stays until Monday I suppose.

Greenwood2 robbobrum henders rick24 brianac dave oldgrumpy - thank you all for your comments on the allocation percentages and returns. As oldgrumpy notes, the blended net return is intended to keep above 7.0%. However, we do aim for everyone to have a higher deployment than the 92-98% range (anyone's account which is less than 95% deployed appears in red on our internal dashboard), and as we only earn fees on deployed amounts, we have strong alignment with our clients on this particular point. Getting access to great loans is something we spend most of our time on.

I've not seen any new investments since 31st August and have had a few hundred sitting in there since then - even bunging in another few hundred more recently doesn't seem to stirred things up and I'm still sitting at 91%, which is a bit unusual since the new algorithm went live .... Has your marketing been too effective and you have too much investment sloshing around looking for a home?

dermot " Are the treadmills at Chateau Bondmason running a bit slowly at the moment?" - I wish they were! Over the next 24-48 hours there will be a meaningful number of loans coming through, and a re-run of the revised algorithm. We expect any not-fully-allocated clients to start seeing the effect of this from Wednesday afternoon, running through Thursday. My expectation is that anyone who has invested funds prior to this week should be 95-100% allocated by the end of this week. Let's see... [FYI rick24]

I had 3 loans allocated on 05/09 but none so far today. You wont get them everyday, then some days you might get 20. I am surmising they will wait to see available funds before committing to underwrite something. You are giving them your cash to invest on your behalf, once you have, then they will go and find a good place to park it for you at the same time as doing the DD and finding a good balance of risk and return to give you a decent top line return on said parking spots. This is why you can't just dump 100k in your account and expect it to be fully invested the next day, or at least this is my interpretation of how it works.

Must have been a lot of traffic - I had over 2K returned yesterday then all of it and more reinvested today - so am now at 99.753% invested.
Guess I won't complain about the remaining 0.00247% then ...
At least, not today ... I wonder if the new algorithm is now running?

I had no allocations from 31 Aug to 8 Sept then a big bunch bringing me up to 95.6%, so over a week at 88.5% or less.

I did a write up of my experiences investing in BondMason over the last 3 months in this review here. It starts with an introduction and explanation of the service and the second half is my experience. Note that this is likely a different experience to those investing larger sums of money (e.g. £5k+). Would be interested to see if others had a similar ratio of fees: gross returns as me (~20%).

Owed 12%, nothing collected yet. Have been invested less than a month
Since they target 7% return and that's after bad debt and fees the ration should come out somewhere between 12.5% (1% fee to 8% interest earned) and 11% (1% fee to 9% interest earned) in the longer run, maybe even at bit less.
