Do you use FB and can look fellows group? I was discussing a bit about this topic. I was interested in recovery of interest not just recovery of principals. Also good review is there rahafoorum.ee/bondora-taastumismaarad/In general you can take general statistic page and play with recovery reports. But I was not able to get exactly same result like in their blog. I think they eliminated part of data in order to make this picture for blog. Not very serious changes, but they did. "Data is aggregated to larger cohorts and recent data are excluded as otherwise outliers will skew the results too much (e.g. 1 customer repaying the full amount after default at once). On the Bondora level this means excluding the last three months of defaults and using country based quarterly cohorts. Data on individual portfolios should likely be viewed on a higher level either using yearly country based cohorts or simply quarterly cohorts across all countries."

They use similar logic like in their XIRR calculation. Only consider as "defaulted" the portion of principal overdue according to initial schedule. Judging by their previous post, it might even be that for some reason they don't consider as "default" the principal that was overdue prior to defaulting (essentially 3 payments before default).
Then they seem to have divided recovered principal amount by that "scheduled" amount. These fields are available in dataset.

I looked at my return on the recovery section of the statistics page : www.bondora.com/en/statistics/index/I started investing in 1st quarter 2014. I grouped the returns (principal) by year. 2014 ----- Est 6% Spa 0% Fin 0% (I do not talk about Slovakia) 2015 ----- Est 32% Spa 1% Fin 14% Not as good as Bondora would expect me to get. What do others see ? Am I just unlucky ?

For me it is around 45% recovery overall.
And unfortunately I have a big slice of my portfolio in Spanish loans. And 10% of my portfolio never made a single payment. I gave up all hope of making any profit with bondora a long time ago. I've started to slowly take out the money.

it will be interesting if the recovery rates hold up in my Portfolio, if I can achieve these rates, then I am happy.

Many years ago I was involved with statistics in the RAF, basically they can be made to show almost anything by being selective.
The old saying is "Lies, damned lies and statistics".
You are not measuring the same thing as Bondora even though the name is the same.

You are confusing facts & the truth (that your actual results are showing you) with corporate, marketing b*lls**t that is designed to tempt in the unwary investor. I DON'T BELIEVE A WORD BONDORA PUBLISH from my own investment experience.

Depends on in what you've invested. Mine is much better. The last two years €300 and more each month from defaulted loans.
