Hardly had any money invested in the last few weeks. Anyone else finding the same?

I opened accounts for my kids at the beginning of August. One set at 2% was fully deployed quite quickly and after being set to 1% has remained so. Two set at 1% have been at 50-60% deployment for the last month. A little bit disappointing stevefindlay . |

Hardly had any money invested in the last few weeks. Anyone else finding the same? Added some funds a few weeks ago, and I have more than I added in cash now. I have had quite a few new loans, so I guess repayments are outstripping lending on my account.

I didn't know you could open accounts for kids, do they not have to be high net worth individuals or sophisticated investors? Maybe they are and/or maybe I come from a part of the country where 'kids' is used as a broad generalisation.

The team are flat out on the new website rebuild - ready in a couple of weeks or so. So non-critical bugs on the existing website have been de-prioritised. Please bear with us on this over the next little while.

I paid £4k in just over a month ago and £1350 has been lent (set at 1%).

55% allocated from a deposit made end September although there was a problem with the account as I had withdrawn earlier when the T's & C's were amended - my protest. All 'unfrozen' after a couple of weeks and problem promptly sorted. Lending rate set at 2%.
XIRR not brilliant but early days and as I'm withdrawing from a couple of platforms I'll allow it to continue as it's better than squat in a current account.

I placed 5k on the 3rd October and it is now fully deployed 22nd November into 70 loans. Thats 51 days with 2% concentration. Headline rate is at 8.81%. Now let’s see what happens with actual returns.  |

Now let’s see what happens with actual returns. This is what prevents me from rejoining BM. I'd want 1% concentration. If the speed of deployment is proportional it could be 102 days for me, far too long. Previously it took me 26 days to be fully invested @1% concentration and it was quick at the beginning (60% in 8 days). Tells me that there is no lack of investors at the moment

We are now at 99% invested across the platform, so it should be faster-than-usual allocations over the next couple of weeks.
Please remember: diversified lending should be seen as a 12-18 month asset class; so the speed of initial investment shouldn't be the biggest determinant of success.

Please remember: diversified lending should be seen as a 12-18 month asset class; so the speed of initial investment shouldn't be the biggest determinant of success. I create my own cash drag when carefully deciding where to invest, and then on some platforms I take a while to choose which investments, owing to DD. If cash drag at BM is owing in part to being careful then I'm OK with that - Stephen is this the case? I'm more concerned with the size of the investment chunks, e.g £80.

Correct - our team reviews each loan from our approved lending partners before allowing across the platform. We currently approve about 1 in 3. The investment size is based on your settings - you can choose a maximum of 2% or 1% in any one investment position.
