Hello and Good Morning Bondora customers.
Does anyone know if the Estonian banking system employs direct debits or standing orders?
I ask because if they do why does Bondora not insist on its customers signing up to same to collect repayments efficiently instead of the nonsense we have at present.

The Single European Payments Area (SEPA) direct debit scheme allows for direct debits from an account from any Eurozone country to any other Eurozone country including the same one. SDD is not used as much as the British system. Finland is worse for payments that are late by a few weeks. Just live with it and know that you must ignore late payments by a week or two as a fact of life about how different countries work. SDD is to replace the domestic D schems of all Eurozone countries late in 2014, eliminating those and leaving only SDD for Euro currency DD payments. The British scheme doesn't use Euros so it does not have to go away.

Yes time tells with these payments wbski9.
I keep a spreadsheet with every expected payment on it and if full payment is not made I note it down.
I have quite a lot of loans (total loan book well over 1000) who make the same late payment every month, usually the same amount of late interest nearly always paid on the same date. I find this data useful in deciding which loan(s) to sell on and which ones to hold onto.
