Personally I would not condemn the guerilla approach of naming and shaming. The subjects deserve it. I would condemn it unfortunately. It's a civil matter, and should be conducted civilly. Reporting of information from court documents is subject to a defence of qualified privilege in the event of a libel claim, such a defence is lost if malice is involved.

Today's hearing was an application made by the two liquidators of the borrowing company CCL for the court to set a timetable for litigation. The liquidators were represented by Mr Jonathan Wright of Kings Chambers instructed by Knights PLC. Mr Wright told the court that the 2nd respondent, understood to be the wife of the 1st respondent, had not replied to any correspondence at all. The 1st respondent had replied but had "not engaged in a way one may have hoped". Declining an application to debar the respondents in the event they did not stick to the proposed timetable for providing evidence, Deputy ICC Judge Barnett explained that this was effectively the first time the matter had been before the court. Judge Barnett said he was "not persuaded" by the claim that the respondents had been aware of the action some 10 months ago.
The court ordered that the respondents should file evidence by 4pm on May 24th 2021. The liquidators should file a response by 4pm on June 14th 2021. The matter will be listed for further directions on the first available after 21st June 2021 with a time estimate of 30 mins.

.............. The director's wife appears to run an aviation company which uses the husband as a pilot - unless the similar name has tripped me up?

Reporting of information from court documents is subject to a defence of qualified privilege in the event of a libel claim, such a defence is lost if malice is involved. I believe there's a possibility that there may have been an element of 'tripping-up' by the similar name with regard to the wife, and consequently the accusations against the flying female on Trustpilot might be 'inacurate'. There was another female contemporaneously sharing both our recalcitrant director's name and his (now long previous) Companies House address, who is engaged in a totally different profession, is of different nationallity and looks nothing like the aviation company director! There remains the possibily that he remarried of course.

The borrowing company is 'CCL'. Court records show the address of the respondents to the CCL litigation as 'Location A'.
There is also a drone flying business 'FPL'. This company is registered at 'Location A'. The director shares the same name as Respondent 2. Respondent 1 is shown as a drone operator on FPL's website.

So it does appear that our reneging director may well have changed partners. EDIT: His FB account confirms this.
From entries on the wife's FB account the pair were married 2+ (but <3) years ago, some two years after our legal wrangle commenced.
The female of the same surname previously working from CCL's Companies house address (sold June 2107) is far less forthcoming on FB with regard to her personal life, and somewhat lax in maintaining her details (contact details still showing the Companies house address) on her own and other professional websites.

Hello? ablrate ? Are you still busy finding a solution to make sure that nobody loses out? You haven't replied to my entirely reasonable request for information above. Disappointing. Please can you provide an update?
