To what .. amount of iplayer usage, or quality of public broadcasting output? The BBC lost my vote when they started chasing market share above any sort of pretence at program quality - instead of trying to "intelligence-up" the audience they decided to dumb-down the content (the odd OU programs excepted).

I do not have a TV licence and I do not make use of iPlayer. Yet I receive harrassing letters monthly from the TV licensing people. Interestingly they mentioned the iPlayer in at least one letter before these rules came into force. I will personally oppose any attempt to license the internet. If they want they can put iPlayer behind a log-in and check if the user is licensed.
