What are people thinking about the latest property? I think that I will invest in this one mainly due to the high yield. If you look at all of the high yield properties, they all trade above the latest valuation, so there may be a chance of a quick win?

Aye, looks good for the yield. Wouldn't surprise me if it was oversubscribed.
I hope they have plenty more new properties in the pipeline.

They have higher yielding properties available on the secondary market if you are looking to diversify

Well, they needn't have bothered getting a mortgage on that.

The mortgage is purely an attempt to try and leverage gains. Personally, I'd rather they did some high yield, non leveraged properties, given the reasonable risk of a property price drop.

I was all for leverage but now changing my mind. After you take into consideration the higher fees on the full amount and additional stamp duty we will need to see growth in there to make it worthwhile.

The mortgage also enhances the income yield for properties where the cost of borrowing is lower than the rental yield - so the income is leveraged as well as the capital gain/loss.
