The last update (a week ago) said payment was expected in the next few days. That hasn't happened, why?
When a loan of this size is supposedly so close to repayment, yet 35 days overdue, are you happy to only get an update every 2 weeks ?
Are Lendy only getting updates every 2 weeks, I should hope not so why are the ones putting up the money being left in the dark ?

Well, if I were Mr Lendy, I'd be embarrassed by my gullibility up to now, all this parroting of the nonsense I'd been told by the borrower and his lawyers. I'd know I needed to say something, but what should I say? Should I admit that they hold all the cards, as they have your money and there's not much I can do about it? Should I dig myself in deeper by telling you what they have just told me, even though I don't believe a word of it? I know, I'll just say nowt, and hope things get better before someone tries to string me up.

Hi all, and thanks again for your understandable interest in this repayment. As you know, we issued an update on 2 February 2018 in regard to DFL005 confirming that we expected the loan to be repaid shortly. Whilst the loan is still to be repaid, we are now very close to completion, having received positive updates from the borrower’s broker over the past few days. The current status is that the funds to be used to redeem the loan are now in place. The only thing now holding up the repayment is the legal due diligence. We have impressed on the borrower the urgency of repaying the loan as soon as possible and we will continue to follow up with them over coming days. KR Paul64 |

There is clearly a palpable anxiety and sometimes large transactions do just take time. Hopefully, everyone will be patient as this completes in the near future.

Now what about the other 30 or so loans I still have in default with Lendy. Get them right I will continue to invest, get them wrong and no one will. Not a threat just a simple fact of life.

So stripping aside all the redundancy in the statement, it's mañana again. there's a relief, I was almost getting worried about how I should spend my money.

I'm happier with this update than without, and I just have to put aside my experience with a certain boat where the funds have been just a technicality away for what seems like forever.

I am stunned. All it took was for the name Paul64 to appear and tell you what you wanted to hear and now everyone (Some!) is happy?
If I was Paul I would have a word document on my desktop where I could just cut and paste answers from.
I have nothing against Paul, but I do find that the lack of transparency from the updates has severely changed my investment level in Lendy.

You just can't please some people.The update is positive, silence isn't.
Once this loan repays, that will get the SM moving so you'll be able to sell up and bugger off.

I have no reason to believe Lendy are lying in their updates, I just want them to be proactive in getting loans that are overdue repaid and this update suggests to me that they are being for this particular loan.
