Lendy needs to expedite repayment of all their overdue loans if they don't want investors to completely pull out. It's hard to see why they can't see that the prevarication, silence and false promises are rapidly eroding faith in this once excellent platform. Just take a look at the latest offer on the pipeline. Watch the video. BS does not even cover my response. Nothing has been learnt. The latest in a list of defaults waiting for all ? I am out of Lendy ASAP

Update posted on the site:
We have spoken to the borrower's solicitor, who has confirmed that completion of the sale is expected over the course of the next few working days. Whilst the sale has taken longer than expected to complete we remain confident full repayment will be achieved soon.

I sold out of DFL005 yonks ago but it would be fantastic for P2P investment confidence in general if, at last, a big DFL was actually repaid - rather than investors being asked to fund endless additional advances with no repyaments in sight. Sadly I won't be holding my breath.

More weasel words. Hopefully, wrong would love to see Lendy use more accurate terminology, If i promised a project to maybe finish/ perhaps/ could be , I would not be in business.
Time for Lendy to bring out a big stick and start putting major penalties on the guilty parties.

Now, if it read,...." completion of the sale will be expedited within 'x' working days...." it would be meaningful. As it is, it tells us absolutely nothing, it is completely meaningless. Even the solicitor does not know if it will happen or not.

Nothing is definite in this game I've learned, but the signs that this loan is moving towards a positive conclusion have been there for a little while in my view. The recent updates have been clear that end of Jan was the target and we are just past so we'll see.

But the update in 2 weeks time will start to show the effectiveness of the new starters in key roles, won't It? Hopefully it accelerates recoveries rapidly and brings back money from defaults and stops irrational loans from being allowed and leads to meaningful statements being posted. We can hope.

Or may be I just want to believe in this because it makes up 11% of my Lendy pot

I wish Lendy would talk to us. If there is a delay, perhaps tell us what it is? The silence is not reassuring and we urgently need a fatty like this to cough up.

I don't mind too much if there is a delay because this is going to be expected in the property market. If Lendy explained what is causing the delay and it's nothing to get worried about then I have no issues with that. In fact, it's nice to have a bit of bonus interest as a little bit extra pocket money at the end of the month. But what are Lendy going to say next update if the loan hasn't been repaid? The borrower's solicitor has ensured us repayment in full is imminent. And then two weeks after that? Even though there has been a delay longer than we anticipated, we are expecting full repayment this week. And then so on and so on until it ends up 180 days overdue and in default..... Obviously this is worse case scenario but it wouldn't be the first loan that has ended up in default after Lendy told us repayment was expected.

They've used all the stallers on this one.
The next update had better be 'loan repaid.

Look a Pig jumping over the moon , as likely as Lendy to give us a correct update. So 8 days overdue and not a whisper, looking forward to the next vague update. All of the Lendy team deserve to be politicians, dancing around the subject I am sure they would be employed immediately by one of parties.
Alternatively are they the equivalent of Michael Fish, there is no hurricane.

However as the original reason for going overdue was given as the fact that solicitors' offices were not going to open until the 8th January, I'm inclined to conclude that they all got so merry over the holidays they still haven't managed to drag their sorry ***** into the offices yet. Other explanations are possibly available.
