Peer Funding Limited is a new entrant into the p2p and marketplace lending world. It has been granted full permission to operate a lending platform by the UK financial regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority [FCA], according to a statement by the firm. Further details from www.altfi.com/article/2180_peer_funding_granted_full_fca_approvalAm wondering if Peer Funding Ltd will offer an IFISA ahead of other platforms? However it seems that investors are only now being invited and there is no past history to assess the platform. Pledging £5,000 or £10,000 seems a bit of a step in the dark. Have other forumites looked into this newborn? I registered an interest some weeks ago [ peerfunding.co.uk/]. In an email received today they offer the option of becoming Founder Investors or so-called Early Birds for a 1% or 2% reward as follows: - Early Bird Silver: 1% uplift reward for a minimum of £5,000 committed to the platform and held for at least one year. The Silver offer is limited to the first 100 Founder Investors responding to the application. - Early Bird Gold. 2% uplift reward for a minimum of £10,000 committed to the platform and held for at least one year. The Gold offer is limited to the first 50 Founder Investors responding to the application. Early Birds are encouraged to manage their own portfolio, but can use the Autobid service. Current estimated annual return of between 6% - 12% after fees and bad debts, but before reward payment.

Thanks for the heads up, I've also preregistered. It's interesting how these new platforms can conform to the FCA regulations faster than the established ones - I wonder what is so hard for the existing players to change. £50 for £5k is not a huge encouragement.

But it would be £200 for £10k invested. Not trivial but given the absence of background history probably only for the daredevil.

Guess my email got lost then Or perhaps they have precognitively decided I wouldnt stick £5k in unproven platform They have indeed got full permission to operate an electronic platform for the purpose of lending, no sign of ISA manager status yet.

I have had a chat with one of their people which was quite illuminating. Although it will be a new site the full FCA permission is a serious plus point as is the Invoice Financing product. It sounded to me that they had their act together and would be well worth trying.

Hi, silver daredevil here. I was number 81 (not sure if that's of 100 or the total 150) but I replied to the offer just half an hour after the email arrived so possibly no longer available. Launch later this month. Looks like an AC competitor but stealing a march on them by offering Invoices as well. Hope they fail. so when did you originally register?

Tell them you're highly recommended by #80 and #81.

Got the brochure now. Very quick response from MD to my mail (sorry Pots already sent it before your reply so no brownie points for you & Pom)
Not overly worried about the offer as unlikely to take it up. Apparently email coming out later with more info. MD keen to have 'open door' policy with lenders which sounds good.

I've had a registration reply - no number, so presumably I've missed the cutoff.

Brochure reckons we'll be offered variable rate auction bidding on asset-secured SME loans. I won't hold my breath but sounds encouraging ...

I was allotted #89 just a few minutes ago Turns out that the links are in the second email, and I wrote the above before it arrived.
