I've seen opportunities recently to invest via EIS and obtain shares for Evolutionary films (http://evolutionaryfilms.com/).

It advertises the following benefits:

Shareholder Benefits
Lucrative EIS Tax Incentives (existing clients are in receipt of their EIS certificates).
Profits in ALL movies and projects undertaken.
Investment into a trading company and NOT into a single film
Tax FREE profits after three years for the life of the investment
Ongoing Royalty for 25 years
Executive Producer Credits
Play an extra in future productions
Visit the set whilst filming
Invite to Red Carpet Premiers, Galas etc.

The movies haven't been huge hits, and I need to do some more research into whether they have been profitable but wanted to get this onto the forum ASAP to ask for advice.

Has anyone ever bought shares with these? Or anything similar andeal can offer any advice/experience that may be relevant? Good or bad?

Avoid. Most of these schemes promise much & deliver little. I looked into a few of these schemes as a movie buff/involved in film retail industry and feedback was overwhelmingly negative. Nearly always DTV fodder not cinema release. See this discussion link and

So ongoing royalties for 25 years misses some of the benefit of EIS.
