Having graduated, my rented accommodation in my first couple of jobs was much WORSE than my (in college) student room (and more expensive) .. which is why I figure if we run out of students to occupy them there are plenty of other willing takers, unless everyone lives chez Mum&Dad these days.

A lot do, including members of my family.

figures from frank knight on purpose built student accom availability based on student numbers for 2015 and 2016. They suggest that over 40% availability likely represents saturation point. London 29% 30% Leeds 38% 40% Bristol 34% 34% Sheffield 37% 40% Birmingham 33% 35% Edinburgh 36% 41% Manchester 36% 36% Nottingham 40% 41% Southampton 32% 36% Durham 40% 42% Cardiff 34% 37% Leicester 44% 47% Aberdeen 34% 38% Liverpool 49% 51% Newcastle upon Tyne 35% 38% Coventry 51% 53% Exeter 38% 40% Unfortunately no figures here for Huddersfield. Useful for the proposed new student accommodation dfl in E********

A show flat has been completed and is being marketed on mykingsway.co.uk
I have to say at £5k a year, utilities included, gym access, your own kitchen* I think there's be a market for this for more than just students.
*albeit no oven which could be a problem for students unless you can develop a taste for microwaved pizza

"The fourth and final tranche of development funding of £286,240 was added to the platform this week. The borrower has been pursuing several repayment options, however these negotiations are not expected to be concluded before the loan matures in one month’s time and we have therefore agreed to extend the loan by three months, through to August 2018. The borrower expects to be in a position to fully repay the loan on or before the extended loan maturity date, through either the sale or refinance of the scheme. We have had sight of two of the repayment offers and are satisfied that the total loan funding will be less than 40% of the Gross Development Value of the scheme at the time that full repayment is achieved. The borrower has also advised that following the contractors' work in March 2018 to finish all units ahead of furniture installation, the majority of the wardrobes, beds, tables and chairs have now been delivered to site and are being fitted."

Being extended for a further 6 months to Feb 2019 Where has that info come from? It doesn't seem to be on the updates.

Being extended for a further 6 months to Feb 2019 Where has that info come from? It doesn't seem to be on the updates. It's on the pipeline tranche tab. "**This loan is being extended by six months through to February 2019**" For the £470k tranche 7 going up tomorrow.

We appear to be capitalising the interest by lending money to cover the interest/charges that arise from a 6 month extension. Per the website
'This tranche is primarily to cover the costs of extending the loan through to the end of February 2019.'
