Reading the Investors' Report for this I see that it is proposed to having combined kitchen/living areas for 5 of the 6 flats. This doesn't strike me as a particularly good idea. Does anyone have knowledge/experience of the practicalities of such a configuration?

Um, I've not read the IR, but it sounds like you're referring to a studio apartment? Incredibly common, if so. What do you think the problem might be?

Does anyone have knowledge/experience of the practicalities of such a configuration? Not even just studio flats - we have a 2-bed, two-level flat as a BtL. The kitchen is a little alcove off end end of the living room, divided on two sides only by a pillar (wide enough for the fridge) and a worktop. It's a very common layout. (Not our flat, but pretty similar)
