chrisuk: Not to mention that October interest isn't due for another month... If you ask the mods nicely, they might delete this whole thread for you/us!

Thats a good point, i always view it as oct payment, yes it is sept interest, but its paid on the 1st of the following month, so yes it is october interest, but not october's interest. i think.

I think mikes1531 was joking... However, technically it is Septembers interest (and should be accounted as such). If you have a look at your tax statement on the SS website, you will note that SS indicate the interest payments on 30th of September.

I will get an official view of this tomorrow morning, i am always up at 6.30am, i will ring my accountant first thing and post his response forthwith .

If you just both delete your posts, no need for mods. Liz : I know how to edit a post, but how do you delete one? Is that what happens if you delete all the contents? Little setting button to the right of the edit button, drop down menu, select delete post. If everyone deletes their post, then the thread vanishes. If the OP deletes opening post, it confuses everyone.

I will also consult my lawyer with the intention of a Judicial Review! Deleting my post because of a technicality is an infringement of my 'yooman rights'!!! By the way, I'm looking forward to my November interest payment already!! My October payment was down quite a lot because I sold a few of my loans in September but I hope to rebuild my investments during October so my interest payment on the 1st November should be back to normal!!

I meant interest that is paid on 1st October. If you have received last months interest payment, which by now I suspect you have, then this whole thread is totally unnecessary.

Unnecessary but fun! It keeps me occupied while I wait for the next payment on 1st November.
